The MG Charge program by Morris Garages India is an initiative aimed at establishing a comprehensive and accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country. Launched in mid-2022, the project has successfully installed 500 EV chargers in 500 days at hotels, resorts, malls, residential complexes, institutions, townships and more. The goal of the MG Charge initiative is to install 1,000 charging points in 1,000 days.
To achieve this, MG Motor India has partnered with Ionage Technologies, a prominent eMobility service provider in the EV Ecosystem, to enhance destination charging infrastructure by extending the program to destinations, communities and institutions across India. Our collaboration with MG Charge kicked off with the inauguration of charging stations in cities like Lucknow, Trivandrum, and Cochin. Currently, we are live at 150 sites with MG chargers.
Through Ionage app, EV Owners can seamlessly access to MG charge points to locate and use charging stations, enabling better planning for their long journeys, promoting intercity travel by EVs and fostering the adoption of green transportation. Ionage and MG Motor India are driving the shift towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
